Established in 2011, Jackyards’ goal was simple; make the finest, washable and durable seat covers for VW Transporter range.

I’ve always had a passion for the VW Transporter van. Over the last 15 years, I have been lucky enough to own and enjoy most models in the range, owning many T4’s, T5’s and T6’s plus a California or two.

This experience has provided me with a solid understanding of the capabilities of the seats, from captain’s chairs to rock n roll beds.

Research and Development

My sons and I - and Bear (my brown Labrador) - use ours regularly for camping, days out and generally as a garage on wheels. However, I found I was always using blankets to protect my seats and realised there was a huge gap in the market for nice looking stylish seat covers. I have tried many different makes of covers over the years which either looked horrid and saggy or just didn’t last long.

So I experimented with a variety materials and made countless different patterns to see which looked the best, and which material had the durability and water resistant qualities that I needed to protect my seats; I also needed them to look fab too.

Superior fabrics

I sourced an amazing material, available in a huge selection of colours, which surpassed any other material in terms of durability. The fabric has many great assets, such as being breathable, which makes it great to sit on, waterproof, as water just brushes off and it doesn’t fade - in fact it’s pretty much indestructible.

One of the challenges was to make the seat covers washable, so I designed a pattern that splits into two parts, which also means the covers fit correctly. So, if you they do get dirty, you can just throw them in the washing machine on a 40 degrees wash - just make sure you use liquid not powder.

Over the years, I have had nothing but great feedback about the covers, consequently, we just get busier and busier every year.

Our bespoke seat covers are manufactured to order, by hand, with piped seams, robust fabrics, threads and marine zips for easy fitting and removal. Each set of covers is tailor-made to fit your vehicle and fully washable so they protect your original seating whilst enhancing the interior of your van.
